Horse Safari in Pakistan

The Deosai National Park is located in the Skardu, Astore Districts of Gilgit-Baltistan province, in northernmost Pakistan. Deosai means `the land of Giants`. The park is located on the Deosai Plains of the Gilgit-Baltistan geographic region. Deosai means the “Land of Giants”. Deosai is a tourist attraction, and many tourists who visit Baltistan also go to Deosai.

01: Arrival Islamabad

Arrive at the airport and then transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Islamabad.
 

02: Islamabad to Skardu (By Air)

Early morning flight to Skardu (flights are subject to weather); if unable to fly, we will depart for Skardu by road with an overnight stay at Chilas.
 

03: Chilas to Skardu

In case of flight has operated, we will go for a sightseeing tour of Skardu, and in case of no flight, the day will be used for overland travel from Chilas to Skardu (total drive is 22 – 24 hrs from Islamabad to Skardu). Overnight stay in a hotel at Skardu.
 

04: Skardu to Ali Malik Pass

After breakfast, drive to Ali Malik Pass. En route, stop for half an hour at Sadpara Lake, eight kilometers south of Skardu. This is a virgin lake. Its source is the mountains. There is a stunning view north and south from the top of the ride before the lake. Overnight at Ali Malik Pass. (Tent)
 

05: Ali Malik Pass to Barapani

After breakfast, our journey will start on Horseback towards Barapani Overnight at Barapani. (Tent)
 

06: Rest day at Barapani

Full-day Excursion to Deosai National Park to explore the endangered wildlife species, Brown Bears, Brown marmots, and Migratory Birds and wildflowers. At night, there is a BBQ bonfire and local music. Overnight at Barapani. (Tent)
 

07: Barapani to Sheosar Lake

After breakfast. Horse riding to Sheosar Lake en route, stopping for lunch at Kalapani after lunch, continues our journey to Sheosar Lake. Overnight at Sheosar Lake. (Tent)
 

08: Sheosar Lake to Skardu

After breakfast, we will drive back to Skardu en route stopping at Sadpara Lake. After lunch, continue the drive to Skardu. Upon Arrival, I transferred to the Hotel. Overnight at Skardu
 

09: Skardu to Islamabad (By Air) or drive to Chilas

After breakfast, transfer to the airport and fly to Islamabad (flights are subject to weather); if unable to fly, we will depart for Islamabad by road with overnight stay at Chilas.
 

10: Islamabad

If the flight has operated, then we will go for a full-day excursion to Murree and drive back to Islamabad. Overnight stay in a hotel in Islamabad. In case there is no flight, the day will be used for overland travel from Chilas to Islamabad and overnight stay at Chilas  
 

11: Islamabad to Flight out

Transfer to airport for flight back home.

Please Note: Gilgit Baltistan flights are subject to weather and backlog, in case of flight cancellation we will travel by road, and one night of Islamabad will be adjusted in overland travel.
