Hushe Valley Trek: Masherbrum, K6/K7 and Gondogoro
A 25-day exploration of the Hushe Valley that visits three base camps from one valley: Masherbrum, K6/K7 in the Charakusa side valley, and the Gondogoro base camp at Khuspang.
About the Hushe Valley Trek
The first phase of this trek will lead straight to the base camp of Masherbrum, the 24th highest in the world. The Gondogoro Valley will be our next destination to have excellent views of central Karakoram peaks, including K-2, Broad Peak, dagger up 6400m Laila Peak, and Concordia from the dramatic Gondogoro Pass at 5650m height. Finally, we will visit feet of 6934m K-7 and 7281m K-6 before returning to Hushe Village. An unspoiled environment, close-up mountain panorama, and picturesque summer pastures are the few major attractions of this tour.

- Best time in the programme: mid-June to the end of August.
- Highest point given: 5,650 m.
- The programme lists a trekking permit from Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism among its inclusions.
How it differs from the Masherbrum base camp trek
Days 1 to 10 are the same as our Masherbrum Base Camp Trek, including the rest day at Masherbrum base camp. Where that trek turns back to Hushe from Dumsum, this one continues to Shaicho, crosses the Charakusa Glacier to the K6/K7 base camp for a rest day, then goes on via Dalsanpa to Khuspang, the Gondogoro base camp.
Day 18 at Khuspang is titled a rest day but describes a very early start to attempt Gondogoro Peak (5,650 m), while the programme introduction gives that height for the Gondogoro Pass. Ask the team which objective that day has and what equipment it needs.
