Rules of thumb
- Allow two to three days of the total for getting from Islamabad to the mountains and back.
- A week is enough for a fishing trip or the camel safari; most mountain tours need 10 to 15 days.
- Major treks run 14 to 32 days; expeditions 18 to 51 days.
